The building works will start in January and it will be executed within 11 months.
This contract was published on December, Thursday 17, 2015 in a meeting that took place in the headquarters of the Regional Government of Arequipa, represented by the Governor Yamila Osorio Delgado and the Operations Manager of ICCGSA, Carlos Carbajal Olmos, along with different local authorities.
The section III of Uchumayo detour is located between the San Isidro Bridge and the Fernandini Bridge. Currently, ICCGSA and the Regional Government of Arequipa are coordinating efforts to offer a proper deviation plan and alternate routes during the work execution that includes the building of flyovers, high- speed lanes and alternate routes, as well as the structural assessment of Arrayanes Bridge and Fernandini Bridge.
The project will help to decongest the entry and exit roads to Arequipa and it will reduce the transit time in this area since it currently has high volume of vehicular flow of individual, passenger and cargo transportation.
ICCGSA is a company with a wide experience in road projects in cities and during its experience it executed important works as the Trebol de Monterrico Highway Interchange and Habich and Tomas Valle Highway Interchange, as well as Vía Expresa Grau, and vía Expresa Paseo de la República in section V, and it perfectly knows about the problems related to the execution of a work in a urban environment, as interferences and traffic diversions. ICCGSA will work along with the Regional Government of Arequipa to reduce the impacts that can generate this work and taking into consideration the benefit for the community of Arequipa.
