ICCGSA receives the Peru 2021 Socially Responsible Company Award
ICCGSA, Peruvian Engineering and Construction Company obtained the Socially Responsible Company award (ESR for its Spanish acronym) granted by the prestigious business organization Perú 2021. It is recognition for its responsible management in its works throughout the national territory.
The ESR award has as a main goal to promote and strengthen the culture of Corporate Social Responsibility in Peru by setting high standards of assessment to recognize the good practices of companies. In this fourth edition, 65 companies were granted with the awards after being assessed in matters such as quality of life in the company, business ethics, connection with community and environment.
ICCGSA is a Peruvian company with almost 50 years of experience and it contributes with the social development of communities in regions of the country where its projects take place and it also takes care of keeping a sustainable development in relation to environment.
One of the main social responsible initiatives encouraged by the company is the Rural Road Education: “Who takes care the road, also takes care of his life”; it is a strategic content of lineament of ICCGSA Social Responsibility which covers more than 200 communities in 13 road projects up to this date.
During 2010 and 2014, more than 35,000 people from rural places have benefited from this program executed by ICCGSA at a national level, appointed specially to students, teachers, villagers, drivers. It also directed particularly to schools located closed to roads by giving them playful and educational material in order to raise awareness in relation to road education and to avoid traffic accidents.
This award shows that ICCGSA is a company engaged to the environment in all areas where it works and executes projects which bring development and well-being to many communities.
