ICCGSA Agroindustrial, in partnership with Agrícola Chapi company, will invest US$ 44 million in an agroexport business in the Olmos Project
ICCGSA Agroindustrial, company of the construction group with the same name, associated with the Agrícola Chapi company in order to create the Corporación Agrícola Olmos and start operations in Olmos’ lands. They will invest in it US$ 44 million over the coming years to implement an agroexport project in the thousand hectares they obtained in the auction of Olmos Irrigation Project, located in Lambayeque region. This place will become one of the most important agricultural areas of the country.
With the development of this important Project of the Peruvian Government, started today in the Olmos city, the Corporación Agrícola Olmos has already been analyzing the mix of crops that they will harvest in the thousand hectares, which will be mainly grapes, avocados, asparagus, corn, and cotton.
“The Olmos Irrigation Project means to ICCGSA an opportunity to keep diversifying the business of this construction firm; therefore, we associated with Agrícola Chapi company, one of the best companies of the agroexport sector. Moreover, we have experienced in this branch because we have been working under the company “Uvas del Norte” in Sullana for two years. We are in the middle of the harvest of the Red Globe grapes which will be exported to the Asian market”, mentioned Fernando Castillo, General Manager of ICCGSA”.
